My wedding is coming right up (8/22/09). 

We're tying the knot at a farm on Sauvie Island.

Our colors are emerald and aqua (ripped from the pages of Martha!) and the overall feel is rustic/charming/DIY.

I will have many items to re-sell afterwards (aqua canning jars, DIY photobooth, etc), but wondered if any bride wanted to share in the cost of plates, silverware and glassware from Ikea or similar?

My rental company quote is $6.50 per person, but I think we can do better than that....

Anyway, I'll wait for additional PDX brides to make their way over to this forum before I write too much.....

Sorry I missed this post. Hope you had a great wedding! For any brides that are looking for cheap dinnerware for their wedding, there is an ad on craigslist right now that I found. They are selling 1000+ pieces of dinnerware in white. Almost everything is the same from what I can tell. I think it's a resturaunt that went out of business and is trying to recover some sort of money. Only 35.00.

Also, I met with a cupcake gal (that I also found on craigslist) who is beyond fantastic to work with. Her cupcakes rival (and I'd venture to say are even better than) St. Cupcake! Extremely budget friendly as well.

I am just starting to plan my wedding for August 14, 2010 in Portland.  I ma going for the same theme (rustic charming homemade) and I was wondering if you have any tips, recommended vendors or any left over supplies.  My colors are turqoise, silver, and grey.  OUr wedding will be held at a private fram/estate in Boring.  I would love to hear from you and congrats on your marraige!
