Hi everyone, I guess I'm the first in here!

I was born and raised in Miami but now reside in Dallas with my fiance. Our wedding is taking place on May 1st, 2010 in Sunny Isles Beach. I'm anxious to meet other South Florida brides!

I'll be checking in frequently. Please let me know you're here! =)

Hi there! :) Well, let's see... I was born and raised in S FL (Deerfield Beach), and FH is from NJ, but moved to S FL (Coral Springs) when he was 8. We'll be having our wedding somewhere in S FL -- not sure where yet, but Ann Kolb Nature Center seems to be our #1 choice so far.

Exciting! I hope to see more S FL brides around here, too! :)

Hiya,

We are still trying to figure out the details, so I would love to hear ideas from other South Florida brides. We are envisioning a garden wedding - which is difficult in South Florida b/c of all of the tropical plants. Ideally, I'd like to find a location with a large banyan tree and an open area for guest seating in front of it - or flowers surrounding. Something more European looking. Viscaya is of course what everyone recommends, but the rental fees alone are $15K, it's outrageous. We're more simple and need a place that reflects that. We are open to parks, museums, mansions for rent, etc...help! :)

Thank you! :o)

Hi all! I'm new here too also on a budget, looking at a Oct/Nov 2010 wedding.

Did you find a garden venue?
