My fiance and I have been discussing music at our wedding, I really want to do a live band or singer I feel its much more personal than a dj. He feels a live band is not affordable.

I did enter to have Brendan James sing at my wedding through a contest at mywedding.com, I hope I win! He's exactly the sound i'm going for and would work for my wedding.

Now if I don't when, what would you suggest in getting for live music? I'm thinking someone like Brendan James I don't want a swing, jazz band or anything of that nature.

I agree with sara!! I'd def go with craigslist, just make sure you google them also to see if you can get any reviews. Also talk to anyone who might have like little sisters or brothers in high school, youd be surprised what u can find. You can check out local bars n lounges too, see what dates they have live bands and then check em out. If you like em, ask em how to setup something. Good luck n congrats!<3
