Hey BrideSharers,

Let's see if we can get some action on these boards!  Share your colors and theme, and let's see what's popular right now - and see if we can find some buddies for ya!

Ours were sunset yellows and oranges with pops of peacock, fuschia and purple - which went beautifully with our magic carpet ride theme!

We are planning a summer wedding. The colors are bright pink, orange, and lime green. Fiance isn't much on flowers so we will be using lots of stripes and polka-dots.

We will be getting married in May. My sister says our colors look like a graduation party. I couldnt just pick one so were going with light pink, fuschia, shades of purple, and aquas, lime green, and a splash of tangerine and yellow. We're getting married in a park and I'm hoping for a family picnic-y vibe!

My wedding is this August 22 of this year, our theme is a romantic beach feel, and my colors are pink and yellow both are very bright fun colors. I have a lot of ideas and so little time to follow thou with them. For the tables I'm doing sand in the middle with some sort or floating candle and shells, because our wedding and reception is outside I decided to go thou with cupcakes and a small cake instead of a huge cake and plus the cupcakes are cheaper fun way to do the cake. I'm looking for more ideas for a beach theme wedding and also using pink and yellow colors, so in that statement dose anyone have any cute ideas they would like to share.?

I think that sounds very hip, fun spunky and creative. Those colors have so much potential to make a dynamic impact! Nice pick!

Hi everyone Laughing

I'm Desiree...so I feel kinda silly for already posting, but I am planning a wedding for next October, which is SOOOOO far away, but I want to save, and also, it'll be on the day of our 5 year anniversary. I seen one other bride post about next October, so I don't feel THAT bad!

Anyways, I am pretty set on my theme / colors, but I just have to find the exact right shades...I'm thinking Tiffany Blue, but my flowers will be sunflowers, so they are pretty bright, and are going to contrast a lot. I definately want the white round laterns too. Would it be overkill if I matched the blue? Hmm...

We live in San Francisco, but we're getting married in April 2010 just outside Austin, TX in a tiny "town" of historic Texas buildings moved from all over the state (Star Hill Ranch). We're going for an elegant, vintage, small-town theme. The colors are dark grey & chartreuse, with touches of fuchsia. We're in the process of collecting lots of antique tins to hold flowers, all sizes of mason jars, a variety of old buttons, galvanized buckets, and we found a gorgeous (& cheap!) chandelier we're refinishing to hang above us during the ceremony in the gazebo.

Hello! I am kinda new to this, but I will give it a shoot! My theme is vintage, rustic simplicity as I am having a garden wedding at a B&B built in the 1800s. My colors are yellow and teal with hints of brown and ivory. I want it to be very eco-friendly and eclectic. The date is set for June 12, 2010 in our small town in Tennessee.

My Bridsemaids are wearing dresses from Davids Bridal in Apple Red. And my maid of honor is wearing the same style dress in Black.

Our wedding is in September and there's only 2 months left!!

This sounds like a dream! I absolutely love your theme and colors. Not to mention, Austin is one of the best places ever. I'm sure you already know this, but check out antique stores for tins. I have a collection of vintage tea tins, teacups, and vases from local Dallas antique stores. Browse etsy, craigslist, and garage sales too!

Our wedding is May 1st, 2010 and will be in Sunny Isles Beach, FL (I'm from Miami.) Our colors are fuchsia, blush pink, and white. And we too are going for a vintage theme, incorporating lots of paper doily to mimic lace, our stationary has a doily lace die-cut, and our centerpieces will be mercury glass vases with hydrangeas, ranunculus, and roses. My bouquet is going to be blush pink peonies. Wish I could have peonies everywhere- but they are costly!

I'm getting married March 27, 2010 in Baton Rouge, LA.  Colors are yellow with red and purple (all shades) accents.  We're getting married in a pavilion in the style of an old barn.  Going for casual, colorful, and fun.

I'm using yellow gingham tablecloths on the picnic tables. My  mom is making these, and we'll be sharing/selling them after the wedding.  I'm using mason jars as vases and will be sharing or selling these too. Also yellow ribbon streamers that we'll hang from the rafters and tree branches, and string lights.

I'm looking for penant/bunting banners in yellow.  If anyone else has these and wants to sell or share, or if you're looking to go in on them, let me know!

Hey all! Our wedding is May 2010 in Kalamazoo, MI. The colors basically go with the flowers in season: the dark purple, light purple, and cream that our backyard lilacs bloom in along with the spring green of their leaves and earthy brown of their rich soil. We are planning on using tons of ribbons and antique lace wherever possible, too. And our reception foody theme is breakfast for dinner--our fave. Anybody having a Michigan wedding next year??

I'm new here also.  I am getting married next October - 10/2/10.  I'm not ashamed to admit I've been creating all sorts of things already.  My colors are typical autumn colors - burnt orange, orange, yellow with some gold and browns.  Think of the autumn plant bittersweet and those are the colors!  When I get my act together, I'll post some pics of the projects I've started, finished and still working on.  One thing I did which was smart - I borrowed a Cricut machine from my Church.  Yes- they have one.  They use it for making signs for the bazaar, different clubs and activities.  They had no problem letting me use it!

We actually had to move our date back a day to 31 October 2010 to accommodate a rabbi, so we're having a (very conservatively) Halloween-themed wedding! We're going to let the kids wear costumes to the reception, and have some Jack-o-Lantern decorations around. :)

Our colors are cream, brown, and sapphire blue, with little touches of slate blue and burnt orange. I'm hoping to really hit the craft stores after the holidays to score on some cheap decorations! I'm so happy to have a fiance who is okay with letting me run a little wild with the Samhain wedding idea. Woohoo!

We're getting married on 10.2.2010 at a rustic lodge up in the mountains here in Southern California.  Our main colors are a deep purple (plum/eggplant) and light green, with touches of grey.  We're going for a rustic chic look, with galvanized buckets and chalkboards, and maybe some lanterns.

My wedding colors are deep red and tangarine, everyone thinks i'm crazy for having such a loud color scheme but I love it.   The wedding is scheduled for October 23, 2010.  We are going for a modern chic wedding.  Our venue has huge windows that overlook the Boston Skyline, it's unbelievable.  Since the views are amazing I wanted to keep the decor simple.

Our colors are a rich sky blue, a deep green, and chocolate.

Our theme is & ampersand. This is silly I know, but our date in bianary (a computer language) is an ampersand and my fiance is a computer geek and I love ampersands. We're also mixing in circles and lines.

My FH and I have a longer engagement, since I'm working in Korea until July. Our date is 9/10/11 and we already have our reception venue booked so we can wait until I get back to plan the rest.  I've been drawn to muted colors: Slate Blues/Greys and neutrals like Ivory and Rose Dust. Any ideas on color combinations? I was looking at Pantone's Fashion Color Report to get some ideas. I haven't chosen a theme either. Do I have to? We're planning on the ceremony to be in Central Park, then moving to our reception across the street.

Advice?

Our colors will be blues (think bright: royal? peacock? tropical?) and probably white.

Our theme? Eclectic most likely.  Sort of country chic meets South Asian (my fiance is Indian.)

We're *probably* getting married in July 2012 (there's a few factors that haven't fallen into place yet.)
