So, in tribute to our true Nerd status, we are having a Star Wars themed reception.  I have zero idea where to begin.  Fiancee only likes the old movies from the 70s-80s, not the newer released ones.

Help please!!

So I see flowing white table cloths on all tables( glass tables would be great and you could attach neon lights underneath bringing in the whole light saber idea. ) -On the tables you could have tall glass urns and the  flowers chould be very organic, branches( with moss- oak trees are good ) , twigs with berries, plant sprigs leafy with darker reds and such. , the groom could be in the traditional white ( tux or to even bring the Luke Skywalker outfit into play. White ( kind of karate jacket with the Luke skywalker belt- it could look really cool actually and depending on how you do it very nice. ( or maybe he could be Han Solo and you could be Leigha ) I just remembered the brother sister thing )) LOL! All grooms men in black with silver so groom stands out as the good guy! . Get creative with the groomsmens boutineers ( ask your future husband what he thinks on this some kind of trinket- he'll know and he'll feel a part of. Also your dress needs to be a Princes Leah type, long, long white no lace of any sort, long sleeve for sure and even small turtle neck would look fabulous. I see a november, December wedding. Coolder.  It could go both ways. Depending on where you are getting married if you even know, I see sand and a flat plane surface. the beach could work, desert- ish. If you have access to props that would be awesome. even if not. Make um. If you rent or if you know someone who has ( a couple would work great -two ) Storm troop costumes to either get two friends to usher in your guests, or put them on a manequin and stand them up on either side of something - The door entering the reception hall is one idea.  So you can keep it beautiful with the arragements made literally from the back yard and some from a florist, and then add some fun items, the Grooms dress atrie, your dress and the storm troopers. It souds fabulous. Oh also we did a candy table at my cousins wedding- five diffent containers with our favs of candy. You could make it a little more industrial. Tin boxes, metal contraptions- Cause you know Luke was a mechanic, I see wires and metal, tin boxes, you could set a small R2 next to this table or a big one would be fabulous! Good Luck and if you want to bounce more ideas, blog me!!  --Last idea Get your pastor or who ever to dress in the Obie One outfit!
